"The mathematical rules of the universe are visible to men in the form of beauty."
C ita materialized in the adventure Selwo in Estepona (Andalucia, Spain) , until Dec. 8 through a photographic exhibition showing the relationship between nature and mathematics :
... 'natural geometry: animals, plants, leaves, flowers, seeds, water, landscapes and natural phenomena' is the name of this show, where visitors can observe the direct relationship between spiral in the earrings or a snail, beautiful symmetry, polygonal patterns carved by wind or water, cardioid - heart-shaped curve - on paper or on the face of an owl, and so on.
The exhibition comprises 45 images spread across the showroom Selwo in the central town, and the Mirador Africa, along the valleys. His visit is free for those who come to the park.
Each photograph is "a geometry lesson" for visitors who can enjoy the colors and shapes. This tour is a different way of approaching math and see their presence in nature in its purest form.
The authors of this exhibition are a group of math teachers : Elia Anon, José Luis Belmonte, Amparo Fuentes, Inmaculada Gutierrez, Olga Martin, Leopoldo Martínez, Lucía and Pilar Moreno Morales. Also included winning images in the Photo Marathon VI Leganés Mathematics Teresa Montes, Hector Egido, Sandra Dominguez, Miguel Hernandez and Alba Romero ...
